This was a great experience. The hummus was so delicious and smooth. Not grainy at all. The pita was steamy and very tasty. I also tried the falafel and the spices were perfectly balanced. Texture was crunchy and delicious.
We didn't have to wait at all for our order and even though we just had appetizers will will be back. The servers were super friendly too! -

Ordered through a food delivery app, got the beef kebabs, and was very pleased. The meat was flavorful and tender. I'm surprised to see people having had bad experiences, but I haven't yet gone to dine in yet, but as soon as I do I'll update.

I'm just going to come out and say it... this was one of the worst meals that I have had in a long time. The meat was flavorless and tough. I tried very hard to like it, but honestly this place is utter shite. On top of the flavor and texture being awful, my husband's $25 platter came out room temperature. The cashier makes up prices that don't reflect the prices on the menu and when asked about it she says "we changed prices", well apparently not on the menu. The food also takes a long time to be served and is overpriced for the quality. What a disappointment. Never EVER again!

Excellent middle eastern food, very fresh and all made from scratch.
Love the charcoal barbecued chicken. Pita bread is handmade from scratch and warmed up in their oven. All the sides were super fresh. Great tabouli, humus, babaganush. All top notch in my opinion.
I was visiting from Los Angeles which has incredible
Middle Eastern food and Fares is better than many of LA's best places.

Very good and very friendly staff. I ordered the grape leaves platter. The grape leaves were spot on, but I thought the yogurt was a bit bland. My husband got the curry. He liked it a lot. We really liked this place and will likely go again when we visit McAllen.
